I believe that digitizing books is very helpful in many ways to students such as myself.
Because these books are now readily available to us on the web then those who can't afford to buy the book can still get a very good idea about the book with what is provided freely by companies such as google books. It is also easier to carry around and look up instead of a book, because computer are readily available almost anywhere.

I agree with what your saying about digitizing books but at the same time they're stealing money from the authors and making people pay them for the book instead.
